Job Title: Laundry Assistant
Gladstone Road, Sandown, Bloubergstrand, Western Cape. Remove Johannesburg
CleanHaus Pty Ltd is seeking to appoint a Laundry Assistant. The successful candidate will be responsible for the effective management, collection, handling, washing, and distribution of linen, ensuring compliance with hygiene, quality, and operational standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect linen from various client units
- Wash, iron, and fold linen according to required standards
- Distribute clean linen to all client units
- Maintain and control linen stock levels in line with operational needs
- Ensure quality control of linen received and distributed
- Accurately weigh linen daily for processing
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the linen storeroom
- Keep accurate records of linen collected and distributed
- Receiving, unpacking and storage of stock received
- Assist with general clerical / admin duties
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 (Matric) Certificate
- Experience in laundry services (advantageous)
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work under pressure and manage time effectively
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new systems
- Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills
- Customer-focused approach
- Ability to work shifts, including day/night shifts, weekends, and public holidays
- Friendly, helpful, and professional disposition
